Kiwi owned Minus 5 heads to Las Vegas
An ice bar in the middle of the desert? New Zealand’s own Minus 5
ice bar is set to open this September at Mandalay Place. Adding to Las
Vegas’ OTT image, this ice bar will be the coolest place in town,
literally. Minus 5 will be completely made of ice – from the walls and
bar to the chairs and sculptures.
After
donning sheepskin-lined parkas, gloves and booties, guests will be
invited to sip exotic vodka cocktails from specially designed ice
glasses crafted from pure New Zealand spring water. To follow Las Vegas style, this ice bar will be like none other and be complete with its own ice-chapel amid colorful, stained “ice” windows, pews and an ice candelabra.
Admission to the ice lounge will be US$30 per person and will include one cocktail.

delectable cuisine of world-renowned restaurateur Chef Richard
Sandoval. Short for Tacos & Tequilas, T&T
will feature an edgy design centered on five icons of Mexican culture –
the sombrero, the shot glass, the bullfight, skeletons and seductive
women.
T&T will be open daily for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and also will offer late-night dining until 3 a.m.
